If you didn't know, Kelly Clarkson won 2 Grammy's (for best pop album and best female pop vocal performance) beating out that tired overrated heifer Mariah Carey. There was a recent Time magazine article explaining how she overcame the stigma of winning American Idol and detaching herself from the show. She left the AI management team and asked her new managers to plot out a 20 year career for her. They said this is unheard of for such young performers. She has written 35 songs already (one of which "Don't" she performed on the Breakaway tour and I fell in love with it). She wants to write as many songs as possible for her next album (she wrote 6 on Breakaway) but admits that she would only want to use the songs she wrote if they are better than the ones written for her. She definitely sounds like she's in it for the long haul. And me, I can't wait to be jamming at a Kelly Clarkson concert when I'm 50!
Even though she's near perfect, she's not without her missteps also. Check out this picture from a Grammy after-party. OOPS!!!

Check out this little bit of internet fun.

It says if you can get 19 right, then you are a genius..I got 21 right, but I'm not bragging. :-)
Also, I'm positive I'm correct with number 6 and 32, even though it's saying I'm wrong..Even if not thinking of what they think the answer to be, mine still makes sense!

I've read a lot of stuff lately about the Netflix throttling scandal..If you haven't heard about this, people are suing and complaining that there is false advertising. They advertise "unlimited rentals" but this is not the case in reality. People complain that those that rent many DVD's per month are delayed shipment of some of theirs on purpose. Netflix admits that if a customer with light activity is given preference over one with heavy activity if they both want the same movie. I think this makes sense..I'm not sure why everyone is complaining. Is it that big of a deal to have to wait for a specific movie? I have 286 movies in my queue right now, and I don't really care what order they arrive. Besides, it's still a far better deal then having to go the video store every day. I've never had any problems with them..Hell, Saw 2 is coming out today and I should have it waiting in my mailbox when I get home from work. Get a real cause people!!!

Gmail has finally started the chat feature. Basically you can chat through gmail. It's kind of cool, but I'm not sure if it will replace any of the other instant messenger programs any time soon. I guess it's good for people like me who aren't allowed to access any of those programs from work..They're all blocked..Thank God that gmail still works..I joke around with people here that I will quit the day they block access to gmail! So, the moral of the story is for everyone out there to get a gmail account! Google will DOMINATE the world!!!!

Wow. It looks like she has really pink nipples. *grin*

I, too, love Kelly Clarkson. For some odd reason, though, I still haven't broken down and bought Breakaway.

That is the craziest thing I've heard all day!
As you already know, it's a great album!

It really is a great album, the problem is that I simply don't really buy CDs anymore. When you're on a tight budget, $13 for a CD just seems like too much, especially when that money could go elsewhere.

Buy CD's??? I only buy the stuff I really, really want in my collection..I download everything else from itunes (9.99/album) or for free from Limewire.

See, I don't have an ipod, or internet access at home. So if I want to buy music, it's CDs or bust.

If people are paying the same user fees, then they should all have access to the same service. Just because one person rents more than another, that's not a good reason to give them lower priority or delay their shipment. I have a feeling my service does this to me too because I never get my priority requests as quickly as I know other people do.

I love the Google chat feature and I think that once everyone on my list has it, it will cut down on a lot of email. I forsee me using it frequently with certain people... and because it's not blocked at work I can use it during the day too!!

I think that Kelly pic is a fake.

Really??? That picture looks real to me!

As for Netflix...I think someone has to be given preference and I guess it makes sense if it's the people that watch less movies per month..Like I said, I'm very happy with it and I have no complaints.

It should be random, or first come first serve. Those are both more fair than giving priority to low volume users.

You'd be surprised what Photoshop can do...
